Blox Fruits gives you a lot of options when it comes to your fighting style depending on your weapon, stats points, and the Fruit you use. However, there are certain abilities that are available to everyone, and there’s absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t be using them. The Instinct Haki is one such ability. In this guide we’ll tell you how to get this incredibly useful ability.
Before you get Instinct Haki in Blox Fruits
Before you attempt to get Instinct, you need to be at least level 300. You also need to have $750,000 money. You also should be close to finishing the First Sea.We recommend you get this shortly after arriving at the Fisherman Island. If you aren’t sure where that is, check out our Leveling Guide.
Step-by-step guide on how to get Instinct
To get this ability, you’ll need to sail all over the First Sea, collect various items, beat a few easy bosses, and pay a hefty fee. With that said, it’s absolutely worth getting this ability and there’s really no reason why you’d want to miss out on it.
Jungle – The five hidden switches and the torch
We start our journey at the very first island you ever sailed to: The Jungle. You need to press five hidden buttons. It doesn’t matter which order you press them in. When you hit them, they will turn green.
There are three buttons on the larger island with the monkeys and two on the smaller island with the Gorilla King boss.
- On one of the trees on the left side from the Ship Dealer
- On the same rock formation where the Blox Fruit gacha NPC is standing (slightly below him)
- Hidden right next to a grassy patch next to one of the ruins on the bigger island
- On the smaller island, next to the white pier, cross the river and it will be on the shore
- From the button above, move to the right and it’s on one of the trees, just like the very first button.
Once they are all pressed, go to the very center of the pond in the middle of the bigger island (where the Adventurer Quest giver NPC stands).
There will be a staircase leading down. Go down there and touch the Torch to collect it. Make sure it’s in your inventory and that you can equip it.
Desert Island – getting the Golden Cup
Sail to Desert Island, where you fought all those Desert Bandits. When you arrive, look for a house slightly outside the main square that’s half-buried in the sand. Head there and walk through the red door (you’ll be able to walk right through it). Once inside, head downstairs, and you’ll see a closed door.
Apparently, the door is made of wicker (or wood?) so get out your Torch and touch it. This will burn the door allowing you to go through. Inside there will be a Golden Cup. Touch it to collect it and make sure you can use it.
Frozen Village – Filling the cup and giving it to the Sick Man
Sail towards the Frozen Village where you fought the angry Snowmen. First, head for the cave where the Ability Teacher is (the one where you learned the Aura / Full Body Haki, Flash Step, and Air Jump).
In the very middle of the cave, there will be a single spot where a drop of water will fall from the cave’s ceiling. Take out your cup and catch a drop of water inside it. After you do, your cup should look like it has water in in.
Take the cup up where the Quest NPCs are, more specifically, where the Sword Dealer is. Next to the Sword Dealer is a house and inside it is a Sick Man. Talk to the Sick man and select “Help” this will give your filled Gold Cup to the Sick Man, healing him. He will thank you and tell you to visit his son, who will surely help you (right?). His son is the Rich Man in the Pirate Village, which is our next stop.
Pirate Village – Helping the Rich Man
After helping the Sick Man, head for Pirate Village, the place where you fought Bobby the Clown. On the right side from the pier, you’ll find the Rich Man. He will say that he wants to help you but can’t because he’s in hot water with the Mob. Unfortunately for us, his problem becomes our problem because we really need the Rich Man’s treasure.
Getting to the Mob Leader is harder than actually beating him. See, the Mob Leader is actually inside a cave on an uncharted island. The Island can be seen from the Pirate Village. It almost looks like a Cake… by the ocean. Sail (or swim) there, enter the cave and destroy the level 120 boss inside.
With the Mob Leader dead, head back to the Rich Man in Pirate Village and get the Relic. Now, it’s time to head back to the Jungle, and the last stop before we get the Instinct ability.
Jungle – Fighting the Saber Expert and grabbing the Saber Sword
Once you sail back to the Jungle, head to where the Blox Fruit gacha NPC is and look on the side of the rock formation. There is a slot that’s shaped just like the Relic you just received from the Rich Man. Equip the Relic, put it in the slot and a door to a cave will open.
Inside is Saber Expert, a level 200 boss. Despite being at least 100 levels below you, he hits pretty hard, the room is small and if he ends up killing you his health regenerates.
After you defeat him, you will get the Saber Sword as a weapon but more importantly, you have fulfilled all the requirements for getting the Instinct ability. All that’s left to do is go and get it.
Skylands – Getting to the very top and buying the Instinct ability
Sail to Skylands and climb all the way to the very top, where the Quest NPCs are. However, we have to go even higher, and there’s no road. If you look up from where the Quest NPCs are, you’ll see there’s another cloud slightly above. Get on one of the buildings or one of the trees that’s closest to the cloud and using Air Jump, make your way to the above island.
Once you’re there, ignore all the enemies and head for the stone temple-thingy. Inside, there is an empty platform with a hole in one of the corners (there’s an arrow pointing down where the hole is). Jump into the hole and you’ll be teleported to the next zone.
You’ll teleport to a different Skyland with new enemies, Quest NPCs and the like. Ignore all that and start making your way up a giant tree root. Head up towards a Mayan temple and talk to the Instinct Trainer. Pay him $750,000 and you’ll learn the Instinct ability. Congratulations.
How to use the Instinct ability
To use Instinct, press “E” on your keyboard. Your character will dim, and will be able to automatically dodge a few regular attacks and maybe a few special ones too.
Instinct will be an absolute lifesaver when levelling because you can use it to get out of sticky situations, including being combo locked.
Even better, the more you use it, the more powerful it becomes. At first, you’re only able to dodge two attacks, but you can upgrade this to up to sever dodges. Just keep spamming that “E” button and you’ll get there.
