When you first launch Blox Fruits you might have noticed that neither Shift nor Alt work to lock your camera. Playing with it unlocked can get tricky especially because some fruits, first and sword dash abilities, and especially guns require good aim and camera movement. Here’s how to shift lock in Blox Fruits.
How to Shift Lock in Blox Fruits on PC
Here’s a quick guide on how to shift lock your camera in Blox Fruits:
- Launch Blox Fruits and load your character.
- Click on the Roblox icon in the top left or press the Esc key.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Switch the “Shift Lock Switch” option at the top to On.
- Press Esc or click Resume in the bottom left.
- Now your Shift will lock your camera as usual.
I highly recommend you do this as soon as you start playing as it drastically improves visibility, mobility, and aiming. Abilities like dashes from various weapons and your regular dash require you to quickly move your camera and move around. Furthermore, fruit abilities that require aiming and movement are much easier to hit.

How to Shift Lock in Blox Fruits on Mobile
Shiftlocking on Mobile is even simpler as all you have to do is:
- Tap the padlock icon in the lower right of the screen to switch shiftlock modes.
- Unlocked (White Padlock): This is the best option for ground combat and aiming with your finger taps if you’re used to it.
- Green Shift Lock (Green Padlock): This will lock your camera in third person with a crosshair for aiming skills.
- Blue Shift Lock (Blue Padlock): This is the same as Green but it removes the crosshair for more visibility.
Unlike PC, the shift lock option on Mobile is much more up to your personal preference. All three modes are useful in their own right depending on how you like to play so test it out and see what works for you.
How to Shift Lock in Blox Fruits on Console
If you’re playing Blox Fruits on PlayStation or Xbox consoles, your camera will automatically be locked. Camera control is done by default using the analogue sticks so it’s pseudo-shift-locking. As for an official shift lock option if you check Roblox Settings, it isn’t present like on PC. Still, aiming and mobility are decent on consoles and you can always plug in a keyboard and mouse for a smoother experience.
